Adding Movies to Forums

Content is no Longer The Only King: Adding Movies to Your Forum

How Add Movies to Your Forum

Internet forums have advance considerably from their humble beginnings, and with this advancing, user expectations have followed suite. The internet has evolved into a multimedia frenzy driven by social networking and user interactivity. Dead are the days of single 8 bit character sites, with the intention of gaining search engine traffic by riddling the pages with vast quantities of plain text. Content is no longer the only king, and it hasn't been for some time. Web designers and forum owners alike need to do more to capture users interest than ever before.

Multimedia and user interactivity play an important part in capturing users interest, and with the vast number of competing sites available on the internet, users expect to be entertained by the latest technology. Search engines have been fast to accommodate these expectations, and have not only given prevalence to sites adopting a multimedia interactive interface, but have exposed search option to narrow your search results to only show sites containing multimedia.

What affect has this had on forums? People searching for discussions can now find various platforms with ease. Blogs, Forums and Social Networking sites have become easier to surface than ever before. But, if your forum doesn't keep up with the latest multimedia advances, expect to be left behind in this fascinating evolving technological era.

When a user narrows their search to just multimedia sites, your forum does not have to be banished from the SERPs. But if you don't keep up with user expectations, your site may vanish into the oblivion!

Users of forums are more than willing to support their argument with multimedia content, not only does this provide support for argument, but multimedia will often provide a basis for the discussion and help your forum gain further content.

There are no reasons, and no excuses to not support multimedia content on your forums. Almost all modern forums have plug-ins / upgrades / support to allow this. Below I hope to show you how to setup your forum to support multimedia content.
